Day Use and Picnicking

Englebright Lake offers a pleasant experience for day users and picnickers.
There are multiple types of experiences available:

  •  Boat In:
Bring your own boat or rent one at the marina to experience all that Englebright Lake has to offer. There are literally hundreds of places to stop and explore including sandy beaches, rocky bluffs, sloping meadows, waterfalls, stream and waterfall hikes, walks to the Covered Bridge at Bridgeport, bathing in the warm waters of the South Fork of the Yuba River, exploring the wild and cool waters of the North Fork of the Yuba River, secluded coves, and more, much more.

  •  Drive In:
All drive in day use and picnic sites are located at the Narrows Day Use Area, on the USACE Headquarters road, located by the base of Englebright Dam. All sites have picnic tables, barbecues with adjustable grills, and spectacular views of Englebright Lake and Dam.

  •  Drive In:

  •  Drive In:
There is a hiking and fishing trail that winds around the shore between the Joe Miller (Marina) Launch Ramp and the Headquarters Launch Ramp. There are strategically placed benches along the trail.
